OARS has been important to us over the past couple years as our clientele have told us stories of their lives, which included addiction and their desire to recover. Our staff is excited to be part of a groundbreaking recovery program.
Our Trauma Informed Addiction Care takes into consideration the trauma one goes through during their addiction. The trauma to their body, their emotional health, and their psychological health. If there was not trauma prior to the substance use, there was undoubtedly trauma during. We guide the person towards ending the blame, shame, and guilt of being a chronic substance user. We will help you understand the dynamics in your internal family and the external one. We have seen what works and what doesn't and realize there is a need to follow new research and encourage new conversations about addiction and recovery. The best folks to help us learn is you, the client. If we do not listen to you, then we cannot help or guide you. We can teach you about the research, the theories, and the diagnoses, but you are the one to show us how you need to be taught. Your voice matters to us.
Our clinicians are aware of the epidemic of substance use in our communities and have a tremendous desire to be a part of the solution. We are committed to hearing your story, understanding your story, and guiding you to a way through the chaos. We use theories, research, and compassion to educate you on choices for the type of journey you want to take.
